"He really crushed it in surprising me," she later shared on The Graham Norton Show. "While we were talking on his podcast, he had a complete garden built out the back of his house to propose in."
Christina Haack Finalizes Divorce from Josh Hall
Aug. 28: Christina Haack has fully renovated her life. More than a year after she and Josh Hall filed to end their two-year marriage, a judge signed off on paperwork. Both Josh and the HGTV star waived their right to spousal support, according to docs obtained by E! News, with Christina paying an equalization payment of $300,000, from the proceeds of their Nashville property.
Erin Bates Goes Into Septic Shock
Sept. 1: Erin Bates Paine's seventh labor took a turn for the terrifying. While welcoming her and husband Chad Paine's son Henry, "Erin developed a severe UTI and kidney infection, which sent her into septic shock," Chad shared on Instagram about the Bringing Up Bates alum. "She is currently still in the ICU as doctors continue to treat, diagnose, and search for answers."
While on the mend, the reality star revealed a major milestone Oct. 2. "For weeks, my leg has not worked (since my seizure in the hospital)," she shared on Instagram. "I’ve been carried, wheeled, and held up through tears and prayers… and today — it moved."
"Today I took steps," she added. "They might be a little wobbly, but they are steps I wasn’t sure I’d ever take again."

Celeste Rivas Hernandez's Body Discovered in Singer D4vd's Car
Sept. 8: An investigation remains ongoing after the body of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez was found in the front trunk of a Tesla registered to singer D4vd. Two months later, the musician was named as a suspect in connection to her death, sources with direct knowledge told NBC4, ABC7 and TMZ.
A Los Angeles Police Department source told NBC4 that D4vd has not been cooperative during the investigation and that they believe her death occurred sometime in the spring, alleging that D4vd (real name David Anthony Burke) likely had help disposing of her body.
E! News has reached out to the LAPD for comment; however, a spokesperson said they could not confirm the reports, citing the ongoing investigation.
D4vd has yet to be charged and no arrests have been made relating to the investigation. A spokesperson for D4vd told NBC News following the discovery of the body that he was "fully cooperating with the authorities."
E! News has reached out to D4vd’s lawyer Blair Berk for comment but has not heard back.

Sept. 10: The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul accepted ABC's offer to make her the next Bachelorette. Before agreeing to hand out the roses (the series returns in March), "I'm like, 'Is this possible for me to do as a single mom?'" the mother to Indy and Ocean with ex Tate Paul and Ever with ex Dakota Mortensen explained on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast. "'Can I make it work realistically no matter how much I want this?' And I was like, 'I can.' You can do anything you want."
Nina Dobrev and Shaun White End Their Engagement
Sept. 11: It seemed that Nina Dobrev and Shaun White were coasting toward forever. After the Olympic snowboarder dropped to one knee in October 2024, "We’re just enjoying being engaged at this point and being in that sort of phase," the Vampire Diaries alum explained in an exclusive interview with E! News months later, "because a lot of your life is—you have a boyfriend for half of your life and then you have a husband for half of your life but the fiancé period is very short."
And while she was excited to sink her teeth into her new role as a wife, "I really want to enjoy it and not rush that process."
So it was quite the frontside 180 when the pair ended their five-year romance.
Though neither star has addressed the split, Nina—who announced her move to New York City in November—did hint at their issues. Lip-syncing to Ariana Grande's 2014 smash hit "Break Free" in a Nov. 13 TikTok video, she showed off her bare ring finger, mouthing the words, "Tried to hide it, fake it / I can't pretend anymore."
Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes Break Up
Sept. 14: Kelsea Ballerini is no longer callin' dibs on Chase Stokes. The "Yeah Boy" singer and the actor ended their nearly three-year romance, a rep for Kelsea confirmed to E! News Sept. 14.
Two months later, the musician joined Chase in Dubrovnik, Croatia, where he was filming the fifth and final season of Outer Banks, and appeared to be having the time of her life as they danced to ABBA’s "Dancing Queen" in a video that circulated on social media.
But, according to Chase, his ex has definitively rolled up the welcome mat.
